Gili Trawangan

Gili Trawangan is the largest of Lombok's Gili Islands and the only one to rise significantly (60 m) above sea level. . The name of Trawangan originates from Indonesian language, that is Terowongan or tunnel in english language,  due to the presence of a cave tunnel built there during Japanese occupation in World War 2. 

Some of the first inhabitants of Gili Trawangan were fishermen and farmers from Sulawesi. Previous to human settlement Gili Trawangan was covered in forest and deer lived on the island. Thirty years ago the Gili islands were uninhabited and only discovered by the seafaring Bugis people from Sulawesi. It was only a matter of time before the more adventurous backpacker types discovered the islands and developed Trawangan into a paradise destination.

The positive aspect of Gili Trawangan is the island still natural and then make tourist arrived in this island very enjoy. About that, full facility and cheap expenditure. Beside that, Gili Trawangan free polution because in this island applied prohibited reduction. Either one prohibited to carrying car or motorcycle.

 

Negative aspect on Gili Trawangan is very difficult to reach out for public transportasion because roundabout member make a prohibited and arrangement can’t be pulled to visit in this island so Gili Trawangan still to make the natural island without ignorant people.

So, my opinion or my solution government or mmber must make a pulling prohibited so Gilli Trawangan everlasting still waked up.
